Took home an armload of library books about acting for the camera and this was the standout I wanted to read in full. Whatever one's experience and training, periodic review can be helpful. Benedetto is very good at providing helpful techniques appropriate for both novice and professional actors. I have my 10,000 hours of experience on stage but only a smattering of film experience so this has been a perfect resource.

I had to buy this book as an Acting for the Camera 1 textbook. It has a few useful tips for actors moving from stage work to film work, but it's a book you can probably skim rather than have to read every word or every section.
This is a good book for developing awareness in acting terminology, scene breakdowns, understanding how to translate script as an actor. I've been reading this alongside Acting Is Everything by Judy Kerr and it has helped my work in my acting class.
