Great amd informative book!

I am not an English or Theater major or any of the sort, so I wasn't well read or knowledgeable of many great plays. The general education class that I bought this book for was absolutely boring and I never paid attention, which is why I had to read the plays on my own time. However, when I started reading the assigned plays, they had my full attention. I was amazed with these fine works of literature...are they considered literature? This textbook made me see plays and works of literature in a new light. Some of the plays I read in this book include:-"Oedipus Rex" by Sophocles,- "Lysistrata" by Aristophanes,-"The Glass Menagerie" by Tennessee Williams,-"A Doll's House" by Henrik Ibsen,-"The Importance of Being Earnest" by Oscar Wilde,-"Death of a Salesman" by Arthur Miller,-"Six Characters in Search of an Author" by Luigi Pirandello, and many more. This large collection of great plays make it a great addition to anyone's library.

Lots of great plays all in one place! Use it for my History of Theatre class. It's quite large but it has a lot to offer.

This book is big and has a TON of plays in it. I realize its expensive, but by the time you buy all the individual plays you actually save money. The only reason for the 3 stars is a kindle version is needed BADLY because of it's insane weight.

its expensive and huge and heavy and you'll want to rent it to save money. But this anthology has so many great plays in it and I have used mine for years and it still is super useful for me. I love it.
