I do not understand why this book is titled "for kids". There are twenty-four paintings but not a word about them other than their title. I was hoping this book would explain some of the paintings for my children, but am very disappointed.

What a group of 24 paintings from probably the #1 painter of the 20th century. He has 2 in the top 10 (Guernica & Demoiselles of d'avignon-sp?). There is not so much of his later paintings, little of his red and blue paintings (a close friend died) and no bulls (my favorites). But most of the mainstays are there and I love it. "Woman who cried" (cited here as sobbing woman) which set the record for original lithograph was especially welcome. How a copy of a painting, even a first edition original lithograph, could fetch over $10 million is beyond me. Wish I had a couple. Great intro to his work. Since he was the most prolific artist ever, one could spend a lifetime examining his artistry...shu

Being a full time artist, I loved this book. Able tof see the curves and imagine the thought process.it should make a child's mind expand on it is OK to color outside the lines. To make art.To achieve the fe r Ling of a completed work from your heart, not dictated by what color a tree should be or a leaf or a cloud. Dreamworks before DreamWorks!

Save your money. If you must buy one of these buy only one of the painter you want to look at. It may seem that there are multiple books of the same painter, but they all have the same pictures. There is no dialogue or descriptions. Just the painting and the title. You'll get more out of a library book and it won't cost you a thing. I got all of mine free through prime for free. It would have been a ripoff had I paid any money.

Spanish Paintings once again : Having said adios to Goya we moved onto Picasso which I wasn't about to pass by. Alongside the ever impressive "Guernica" was a portrait of "The Weeping Woman" of which my daughter Mary said"This guy has some creepy stuff, dad, just like Halloween." And thank you for reminding me of my favorite holiday. Let's move along to Kahlo next. And if you are wanting to start the tour from the beginning please back up to da Vinci if you like.

Like the others in the series, it is wonderful to have these fascinating images to look at. It is not suitable "For kids" it is for all ages infant to elderly. there are no words, so there's nothing to read, no story, just great pictures. Anyone who likes art may appreciate it. IT is a great way to introduce the world of art to those with lower budgets.

This is a book for adults as well as children. It gives one a glimpse into Picasso's change in character in his work which translates into his life and his mind. Very interesting. A keeper for any library.

A wonderful way to be introduced to great art by a master. Good color plates of his works and some you may not have seen before unless you're a dedicated art critic. I highly recommend any of Mr. Cesar's short art books.
