I was disappointed to find out that this edition did not allow me to use the online resources. I ordered it for that exact reason, but gave it two stars because the price was so cheap and they shipped on time. So if you aren't interested in the extra resources, this is a great deal. Especially since we are nursing students with loans piling up. But if you do want them, you are going to have to pay extra on top of the book, which would make it cheaper to buy it direct. The actual book was very general and lacked details, so I used a mental health success book congruently during my class and passed my Hesi with that book. Very helpful for nursing students in Psych. Only book I have seen so far that really pulls the DSM 5 into text format. I have this on my tablet so it's easy to care around. Found it very helpful for the pediatric changes as well as the personality disorders.Good review questions -- though not enough, in my opinion. There MAY be a workbook for this text book.. I wish I would have gotten it, but now I have graduated!!I plan to use this book in my job as a behavioral health nurse as I see it as being very practice friendly for a new nurse.

This book helped me to understand a challenging topic in a way that I had not expected to understand it. The language was clear and concise. Gave me all of the facts that I needed without overwhelming me.

I didn't realize there were two versions of this book.... paperback and hardback.... Just FYI the paperback doesn't have a scratch code.

If you order this from Davisplus.com you get a code to use their resource and you need the resource for test practice and case studies, and it comes with a full web book for $78. I will not get the code because that means I punches the book twice. I should have just gotten the hard cover that comes with a free code. Not happy with this digital order.

This book was one of the better ones I've had so far in nursing school. I didn't like psych but at least this book was straightforward and concise enough that I could actually complete the reading assignments.

It's easy to read and I actually enjoy reading it while studying for exams at the same time. It explains concepts well.
