This is a concise and factual book which gives a small introductory passage on the physiology of the organ system involved or describes what physiology is involved with the pathology that is requiring lab test results. It's not over involved, and is clear with the information that is being delivered so that practitioners of different modalities who only have a basic understanding of lab work and testing are able to understand it easily. A very informative book that is correct in its view about enhancing one's diagnosis with the advancement of lab test results.
This handy little book is all you need! I am so happy that I can read my own CBC's and finally understand what it all means now! Dr. Banerjee makes the information so easy to understand when once it seemed so foreign!!! A must for any medical school student whether Western or Eastern!
Dr. Captain and Dr. Banerjee are the perfect duo! This book is the product of two great minds converging. I am surprised that a book like this wasn't created years ago; it does so much for both fields, Eastern and Western. It is nice to finally have a bridge between the two. Both doctors provide extremely beneficial practical information in a clear, concise and organized fashion. It is easy to reference and navigate through. I believe that this is a must have in all practices. I know that I am thankful for it!
This is a great book that every TCM practitioner should have, regardless of whether they order lab tests or not. They need to understand them, and this book is an excellent reference tool. Dr. Banerjee is an extraordinary individual; incredibly intelligent but able to bring his knowledge to the student in an easily comprehensible manner.
Drs. Banerjee and Captain are well-respected physicians with extensive knowledge in their areas of expertise. I have personally studied with both and would recommend this book as an essential guide for practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Naturopathy, and other forms of holistic medicine.
Dr. Partha Banerjee is an incredible person. His classes are to the point and he teaches in a way that makes sense. His book on lab results are in the same method. It is the reference all practitioners should have close by.
