This is THE best Anatomy & Physiology book I've ever used. Clear and easy to understand. Some of the areas of physiology I've had problems with in the past were made clear this term with this book! I had to have it for class of course, but I'd also read it for fun. (I plan to keep the book instead of sell it)
Concise, understandable, well-written, populated with instructive drawings. You don't have to be a student to enjoy this book; it's good for anyone who wants to learn about the human body.

This is an easy to understand book. The chapters are very informative and will help you throughout your studies. I also recommend the work book for review and test preparation.
Purchased in conjunction with the workbook as a requirement for my medical coding class. The book is well laid out, the information is presented in a comprehensive manner, and the end of chapter summaries do a good job of reinforcing the chapter. Used with the workbook you get a good understanding of A&P from a non-medical doctor perspective. One thing I did not like is all the examples. I found them distracting and rambling.
If your professor requires this book definitely get the workbook to go along with it. Refresher or just new to anatomy this book is excellent and very detailed!

Excellent, exhaustive text on anatomy and physiology. Written by nurses, but very understandable by "lay" people. This book is on the reading list for my course on therapeutic harping.
