This is an all encompassing Patho book..From the evidence based medicine to the real time patient cases. This book will be great for all learning styles. The way the information comes across leaves nothing to be misunderstood. A must have as a reference book for all!!
Required text for Master's level nurse practitioner course. Seemed thorough; pretty easy to read. My book was complete; no missing sections, as seen in other reviews. Should be a decent reference for the future.
Wonderful, thorough book that goes in-depth but allows the reader to easily understand. This was mandatory for a Master's level class and I really wish I had not rented the book. This is one book you will want to keep in your library if you are in the medical field.
I highly recommend the digital version of this book versus the hard copy- I started with the hard copy and it's so heavy and a pain to lug around. I am in Nurse practitioner program, and the digital copy was WAY better. I could type in a search for specific info and it would bring it up in every area of the book that it was discussed using my iPad. I will buy digital from now on, way easier to keep track of and not destroy
The books seems good for the classes I am taking. Good summaries at the end of each chapter. The e-book is nice, but you can't copy and paste. The prepU part I think is the best!! I also got the study guide, but sent it back because it really was not useful!
I purchased this book in the New format but it is missing pages 1232-1242! I need these pages for tests and papers and now I have no access to them even though the book was supposed to be unused. I am disappointed in this product.
from my college sophomore son who needed this textbook for his nursing class " book failed to explain in depth the a majority of topics" ..thus the professor did not rely on text for the class.; became an expensive reference book
