An excellent, readable, knowledgeable text book that will be referred to again and again. It contains so much information, and is indexed accurately so that you can find the relevant answers quickly. Diagrams are informative and useful. To me this book is recommended for those already practicing H.T., or for those interested in gaining insight into Healing Touch with a view to entering the H.T. program. The Healing Touch program encourages people to participate in continued, life-long learning, and this book is a valuable resource.

I have taken Healing Touch, but from Healing Touch International (non-profit) I purchased this book before knowing the organization had split in 2 and this book is for Healing Touch Program (for profit). What can I say, a fight over territory and the Program folks aren't letting the International folks use their book/materials. The book, written by nurses, is clinical. It is apparent it was written to make Healing Touch more acceptable to the mainstream medical establishment and Healing Touch less "new age" and to attract those in the health community to train in Healing Touch. If you are interested in this approach then this book will probably appeal to you. Sample topics are combining qualitative and quantitative data, primer on electrical devices, the biofield, and consciousness just to give you an idea of the book's approach. The parts on actual hands on healing is limited to a small portion of the book. The techniques used aren't really anything new. It is based on ancient techniques from India, China, Japan, and Native Americans and the work of Dorothy Kreiger (Therapeutic Touch). I guess the bottom line is if you want to learn energy work and aren't interested in all the clinical stuff this book is probably not for you. If you like the more clinical and structured approach then you'll like this book.

I purchased this book to find good information on energy healing. This book is a disappointment. About a half of it - I consider as an advertisement of the Healing Touch program and certification. You do not need to be a nurse or massage therapist in order to help and heal others, nor to be a certified in HT.This book is not for a BEGINNER, it has a very little understandable info on energy healing basics. I have to give it a credit for a few healing practices that I found interesting. That is it, nothing new or unique, as they claim.I would suggest Barbara Brennan "Hands of Light" for anyone interested in learning energy healing.

No need for 1,000 more words. The above says it all. I loaned my copy to a client, forgot which one, and now must buy another. Can't practice without it.

I'm new at reading about energy healing modalities, so I have little to compare it to. I found this book to be a really nice book to learn more about Healing Touch and how to be a practitioner. It has some wonderful stories, some that even made me cry. I still have a long way to go to make this work for me, but it's the beginning of a new awareness in my life.

This book is a must if you are studying healing touch. It has all the pictures and instructions that other workbooks have. I loved the research about HT, it makes so much sense and it is easy to understand the case studies.

This is an comprehensive overview of Healing Touch, providing the reader with clarity, insight, skills to apply, and specific techniques !Although written several years ago, it remains the foundation of Healing Touch training. Should be on the bookshelf of all practitioners interested in energy work.

THis book is a nice addition to the Levels 1 - 3 workbooks. It adds more depth than the workbooks can provide.
