Teaches you how to speak without moving your lips, as well as how to develop character voices. This is known as the "near voice" since you are creating the voice of a character who is typically right next to you. This book will teach you all you need to know to begin doing shows of your own."Throwing your voice" also known as the "distant voice" is a very different technique, and is not covered. It is very advanced and rarely found in print, as it involves hearing the ventriloquist demonstrate the technique.

Reading this was very helpful and enjoyable. I definitely would read it again. I would recommend this book to any beginner ventriloquist.

I am a young teenager and I found this book very simple and easy to understand. Thanks! I've this book.

Small book. Informative but my son did not learn how to throw his voice!
