This book does a great job of really going into detail about what it takes to plan events. I would never have guessed that there was so much that went into it. Like I would never have considered that getting hired could be influenced by wether you had a college degree in something like the hospitality field.I learned that while I dont think I could ever keep my nerves calm enough to run a businesss like this, It looks like it could be very profitable for the right person and this book is a great tool for getting started
This book is what I had been looking for. When I was a kid, I dreamed about being a wedding event organizer. Since my dad is licensed to officiate weddings, our family attend weddings many times every year. I see how they plan, design and create ideas for that special day. That is what we interested me and I also want to plan and decorate weddings. When I saw this book, I was wondering what it can offer. After reading it, I know and learned that there are many things that are needed to be considered for an event organizer. There are college degrees, training and experiences in order to plan an event. This book is a perfect guide for me and for everyone who dreams to become an event organizer.
If you are having a hard time deciding on what career to take, I would suggest for you to read this book. It will surely give you knowledge on how to become an event planner and how to be successful in it. I believe being an event planner is a great profession. I never had the idea that it can be as easy but I agree to what the author said that it requires dedication and patience just like any other careers.I haven't read any book about this subject and I am glad I read this book. I do not actually have any plans of becoming an event planner but who knows maybe in the future. I believe it is really a profitable and fulfilling profession. I intentionally got this book for my younger sister who's going to college next year. I think planning an event is one of her interests. I know this book will help her decide on what career path to take.Though short, this book is a good read. If you are someone who would like to take a different path on your career, or someone who really likes event planning and wants to make it as his real profession, this book is for you.
I am a friend of the author of this book and was asked to give an honest review after reading through it. After i read this book i can honestly say thst its a great little guide for aspiring event planners. The book is laid out in a simple step by step way that makes it very encouraging to read, i most especially liked the advertising and networking aspects of the book which elaborate on how to put yourself out there. Event planning is a big responsibility and therefore needs a bit of guidance, having said that i highly recommend this book for anyone enthusiastic about becoming a successful event planner.
A nice basic look into how to become an event planner. I didn't realize there were so many avenues you could take to becoming one. I have been trying to decide my next career path and I think I would be good at something like this, but I wanted a little more detail about the process it take to become one. A very nice guide.
