David Buckingham knows media education. This new text combines his vast knowledge of how media education SHOULD work in the classroom with practical theory. I think this is one of THE BEST texts available today! What I like about this text are the practical examples he provides from his own work and those who work with him. He is also not afraid to be critical of others who claim THEIR way of teaching media education is the ONLY way.For those of us in the US, this book is the bible; an essential guide for teaching media education and inplementing effective pedagogy. It you are a novice or someone who has been doing media literacy work for some time, you will find this text invaluable. I highly recommend it. You won't be sorry.

This is a wonderful resource for teachers that are trying to understand the history of media education. It discusses the main elements of media literacy and is an easy read.

I liked the book.He was very helpful for my studies in media literacy.I recommend.David is very fluent in their text and in their explanations
