Possibly the worst textbook I have ever had the misfortune of reading. It is written in the most scattered, pseudo-erudite way. It's as if the author wanted you to know how smart they were but had zero interest in improving your understanding. It uses acronyms constantly without understanding. Key words are hardly ever highlight for your reference. The index and glossary are spotty. The questions for review are written poorly, seemingly in a manner that makes it difficult for you to ascertain answers. The chapters are frequently over 100 pages long. It's poorly organized, poorly written and repetitive in a most unhelpful way. There are no helpful diagrams or illustrations to help you understand difficult concepts. There is no accompanying website with fun interactive tools to help you learn. But what it DOES have it the ability to steal joy from your very soul in a matter of moments. IT IS DRY! And yes, HIM Technology isn't exactly the most scintillating topic we all know that going in. However, knowing this, why would the authors of this book make NO attempts at making the information interesting. It's a bland, colorless tome that makes you feel as if you are adrift on a deserted scholastic island. It's as if the author hates mankind. You have to sift through the tedium to glean the information you need for your tests but, I assure you, you will not enjoy it.

This book is ok. I did found it a little bit confusing! But whats the worst: I went online to use my code and there are practice Questions but NO ANSWERS !!!!!!! Its a big and expansive book, I was expecting more learning tools to help me with studying. Very disappointing that the main organization and founder of Health Inf. Management Tech. would do such a thing to his students!!!!AHIMA- shame on you!!!

Has all the latest information, but I didn't like the layout and overall, it is hard to follow. Like all medical and healthcare texts it is riddled with acronyms.

This book is hard to understand and has a lot of technical language that is hard to get, but I'm getting used to it bit by bit.

I am enrolled in two online courses that required this book. It has current relevant information to the field, but I feel some of the contents is scattered into several chapters and therefore makes answering some questions quite the task.

you have to look into several chapters for information on a single topic, not a good read from a student point of view. takes up lot of time. But good for exam questions preparation with quizzes at the end of chapters.

My review has nothing to do with the seller but the book in general. This book is huge! Just keep that in mind if you have to carry that to class (like I have to) your arms will be tired. Also the chapters are soooooooo long and they stick toooo much information within the topic. At least it is organized but they could at least have left out some things( after all this is supposed to be an introductory book). On a side note my book arrived quickly.

This text book is HUGE. It is overwhelming the amount of information contained in this book. Extremely long chapters + dry writing = taking days to finish reading one stinking chapter. Add in the overuse of acronyms and you feel like you just lost days off your life and know idea what happened. Only bought this textbook because it is required for my program but honestly didn't get much use out of it. A lot of the information in this book was available in my other textbooks in easier to read language (also making this book very repetitive). One positive is the dictionary in the back is great for making flashcards....
