Vaccines And Autoimmunity

In light of the discovery of Autoimmune Syndrome Induced by Adjuvants, or ASIA, Vaccines and Autoimmunity explores the role of adjuvants – specifically aluminum in different vaccines – and how they can induce diverse autoimmune clinical manifestations in genetically prone individuals. Vaccines and Autoimmunity is divided into three sections; the first contextualizes the role of adjuvants in the framework of autoimmunity, covering the mechanism of action of adjuvants, experimental models of adjuvant induced autoimmune diseases, infections as adjuvants, the Gulf War Syndrome, sick-building syndrome (SBS), safe vaccines, toll-like receptors, TLRS in vaccines, pesticides as adjuvants, oil as adjuvant, mercury, aluminum and autoimmunity. The following section reviews literature on vaccines that have induced autoimmune conditions such as MMR and HBV, among others. The final section covers diseases in which vaccines were known to be the solicitor – for instance, systemic lupus erythematosus – and whether it can be induced by vaccines for MMR, HBV, HCV, and others. Edited by leaders in the field, Vaccines and Autoimmunity is an invaluable resource for advanced students and researchers working in pathogenic and epidemiological studies.

Surprisingly readable for the lay person. The bottom line is that there is much valid research across the globe documenting vaccines and their link to a whole host of autoimmune and neurological disorder issues from lupus to fibromyalgia to Diabetes Type 1 to Rheumatoid Arthritis to residual seizures in pre-disposed individuals. Who is pre-disposed? That is an evolving area of study, and one that absolutely needs to mature into a screening process before we eliminate exemptions across the board to vac mandates as California has recently done. It is insane. Whatever benefit vaccines have conferred to humanity must be weighed against the numerous apparent disorders which have and continue (acc to these studies) to result in many individuals. If you are a registered voter in Cali, stand up for parental rights! www.sb277referendum.com

Just got this book and it looks amazing! There is a wealth of research on this topic and much of it is compiled in this highly technical and highly convincing textbook. It's not cheap, but a worthwhile investment for any science geeks who are looking for as much info as possible on this subject. As a physician assistant (PA) trained at Stanford Medical school, I am concerned with the recent push for vaccine mandates when we know that some children will suffer from adverse reactions - ranging from seizures to autoimmune disorders to permanent brain injury or death. Since my main specialty is in working with autoimmune disorders, I find this topic both frightening and fascinating. This book is filled with solid scientific evidence that should encourage doctors to pause before making blanket vaccine recommendations regardless of family history or genetics.

At last, a more comprehensive, super-hard-science presentation of the evidence for vaccine-induced autoimmune diseases, especially considering Dr. Schoenfeld's involvement as the author of 25 standard textbooks on autoimmunity and ca. 1500 published research papers in addition to his editing 3 medical journals. Autoimmune diseases (of which there are at least 88 different kinds) are the third leading cause of disease and death worldwide, with over 50 million Americans infected. It includes a wide range of conditions from lupus (SLE) to diabetes mellitus to vasculitis to chronic fatigue syndrome to multiple sclerosis to ulcerative colitis to fibromyalgia to Guillain-Barre syndrome. The research reported covers a lot of aspects of usually unknown toxic ingredients in vaccines but focuses especially on the impact of the aluminum adjuvants added to nearly all vaccines. Considering current CDC rules that try to mandate 69 doses (50 injections) in all children from a few hours after birth until age 18, the material in this book strongly argues that much more caution is needed in subjecting our more fragile and developing children to these influences. Add this to the growing scientific literature showing a link between vaccination and the current autism epidemic in children (see 101 of these research papers at http://www.scribd.com/doc/220807175/86-Research-Papers-Supporting-the-Vaccine-Autism-Link), and one must be inclined to strongly oppose the "mandatory: or "forced" vaccine laws being continually pushed in various state legislatures by the wealthy pharmaceutical companies (and the various "public health agencies" they help fund) looking to increase their multi-billion-dollar profits (vaccines being their highest profit-margin-product because, insanely, they are protected in the U.S. by a federal law from any legal liability for damages due to their vaccines!). It also makes more sense that the U.S. mandates the highest number of vaccines of any developed country and has by far the worst child health and death rate of any of those nations. This book includes 37 research papers linking vaccines to autoimmune diseases, from a variety of European, Israeli, Canadian, and South American research teams, confirming and expanding on the original 2011 research paper on "ASIA" (Autoimmune/Inflammatory Syndrome Induced by Adjuvants ) in the Journal of Immunology by Schoenfeld-- but only one from an American university. In this research and other published papers Schoenfeld and others mention or strongly imply that several types of persons are most at risk for vaccine-induced autoimmunity:1.Those who have had a previous autoimmune reaction to a vaccine2. Anyone with a medical history of autoimmunity3. Patients with a history of allergies and allergic reactions4. Anyone with a family history of autoimmunity5. Anyone with autoantibodies detected by a blood test6. Smokers7. Persons with low vitamin D (some studies find up to 80% of Americans fit this category)This seems to indicate a whole range of new reasons for doctors to write medical exemptions to vaccination as well as new explanations for a variety of diseases.David Adams, Ph.D.

I purchased this book because, as a member of a family with autoimmune disease, I wanted to know more about this subject and I heard it was a brand new medical school textbook. I figured it would be extremely informative.I have had the book a couple of weeks now and have purused it. The chapters summarize the existing medical research on the topic of vaccines and autoimmunity. At first, I was concerned there was too much corporate influenced science reflected in the summaries in the book, but after further scrutiny I believe this book is a very credible work, and a landmark one. In at least one case, the editors do mention that a study concluding the vaccine in question did not cause the disease in question was sponsored by the vaccine manufacturer and was therefore probably biased. This information markedly increases my confidence in the summaries provided. In addition, they do not beat around the bush when discussing the subject of aluminum adjuvants and the neurological, genetic, and immune system harm they are known to do. This frank discussion by leading researchers in the field of vaccines and autoimmunity directly contradicts the headlines that regularly scream across magazines, newspapers and web pages, and points the finger at nanonized aluminum adjuvants as a factor in many modern epidemics, including Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and Autism. The book is an extremely valuable reference to locate the most important studies in any given area.

Everything I wanted and more. Packed with the information I was looking for.
