Student's Guide To Being Happy In Argentina, A

A Student's Guide to Being Happy in Argentina is just that-guide for students to be happy while studying abroad in Argentina. Hope Lewis, a member of the Wellesley College class of 2010, studied abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina, for one semester during her junior year. Like most travelers, she bought a slew of traditional guidebooks. She found that none addressed the needs of students studying and navigating in Argentina. How to handle university classes, get along with your host family, and popular places to hang out, are told from the student's perspective. There's also a chapter for parents to help them on the visits they inevitably will make. This is the first in A Student's Guide to Being Happy series.

I have always enjoyed traveling.. but as a student & studying abroad, many...or most travel guides are written to target non-students & people with much higher budgets. Many student-related concerns are never addressed, and sometime I downright get terrible ideas from some travel guides, because I am a student.Hope Lewis's Student's Guide to Being Happy in Argentina perfectly balances students' concerns while highlights all the important info any traveler needs in Argentina. It is definitely, definitely a must have for any student intending to study abroad in Argentina, South America, or even anywhere else in the world!

Any student going to Argentina should definitely get this book. It tells you everything you need to know, especially from a student's perspective. There's nothing else out there like this. Even if you're not a student, you will can learn how to see the best of Argentina on a student budget.

The author is EXTREMELY biased. I think it is insulting for the people of Argentina and particularly those living in Buenos Aires. The book is garbage. Do not buy it!
