This dictionary packs a great deal of information in one compact small book. EXTREMELY handy for the size. If you need to carry a dictionary with you whether in the U.S.A or abroad this is ideal- that is for medical terminology. It does not have local vernacular used in different parts of Latin America or slang. It is a good solid formal Spanish.It includes vocabulary for different areas/fields of medicine that is a great basic tool to have. It has charts for parts of the body such as the heart and reproductive organs + more. The parts depicted in the charts are in English and Spanish. Some very basic questions i.e. how to ask a patient about their medicine and to instruct them on taking medicine + more.The back of the book is where the actual dictionary is English - Spanish and vice-versa. In many instances the words are translated and a word or two is expressed as to the definition of the word.The print in the book is not terribly small as I have found in some dictionaries - But you will not need a magnifying glass to read this book either.
One of the best medical Spanish books around. Very compact and great binding. Took it with me to guatemala and it came in handy everyday! It has medical-specifics as well a general H&P, diseases, drug names, everything you need. I can't rate this book high enough. I have absolutely no complaints other than I wish the pages were laminated.
This is a great medical Spanish pocket book if you already have a good working knowledge of Spanish (had it High School/College AND remember it), but just need to know all of the medical terminology and phrases.I took it with me to Nicaragua on a medical mission trip which proved useful. I would take it with me again and possibly use it for a Spanish speaking patient who can't speak/understand English well.
vocab divided into specific encounter types and also with most words listed alphabetically in the back. quick to use and extensive vocabulary.
