This book can stand alone as an introduction to the full range of modern public health practice. Including international (male circumcision & HIV; SARS)and domestic topics (obesity, adverse drug events), vivid examples of the methods and materials of public health action are explained in just the right detail to excite and inform students.

This is exactly the book I needed for school. This class uses it all the time. The book can be a little hard to follow at times but otherwise is well written and informative.

Waste of time and money. Book should be called "holding hands health care". This is the kind of book you buy because it's required for some health class. Besides that it pretty much acts as a paperweight.
