I gave this book 3 stars because the pictures are nice.I'm not sure why the author has "for kids" in the title because there is nothing to help kids to appreciate the artwork. I think it is important for kids to look at famous paintings. There was no background information and no explanation of the painting or the author. This is the title then the picture. There are 20 pictures.

This book contains 20 Van Gogh paintings, one per page. There is no analysis of them and, while they can be zoomed, the resolution is poor so you still can't see any details. Not sure why it is "for Kids" except that adults would be more discriminating?

You will find just pictures and no explanations. And rather strange choice of pictures, dark, a bit depressive and none of the most famous pictures. More suitable for kids would be Van Gogh's bright pictures full of sun, flowers and colors and masterpieces that are now common points in the world's heritage.

I'm tempted to give this three stars, but think that might be unfair. It has what it states, 24 pictures of Vincent van Gogh's paintings. Why it's for kids? I guess because there is the picture and title, no other info to bore the young ones. I would say, if it's real young ones, a couple of the pictures are a bit "dark", sure wouldn't want to decorate a kids room with the prisoners, or bottle of Absinthe. Some might need some explaining. Hopefully, it might inspire some to try painting. If you are simply looking to enjoy van Gogh's work, this is a nice start.

I got this book for my kids after they watched a show about Van Gogh and seemed interested in art. They love it! They love to go through all the different pictures and tell me which ones are their favorites.I only wish there were captions telling us more about each painting instead of just pictures.

This is sort of unnecessary for me to download this because, first of all, I am an adult and secondly, I could just go online and search van gogh's paintings on a webpage but I was being lazy and just downloaded this book in the hopes that I'd get some information about the paintings. That didn't happen. There is no context for why they were painted or who these people are. That's a bit disappointing because this could have been turned into a better book if these things were there.Oh, well. All we can do is enjoy the photos.

I chose this rating because the selection of the paintings were exactly what I would have wanted to see if I were asked. I was formerly a teacher, however I ordered these for myself because I have been interested lately in getting to know a little more about art. This was an enjoyable way to do so. I love the fact that there is text to speech, however I wish they would slow down just a little bit. I think this book is great not only for kids but art teachers and adults that want to open up their mind for a few minutes and learn some things about this painter.

I have collected 29 Vincent van Gogh's Paintings (Collection) for Kids books. I examined 6 of those covers and found that the inside pictures were in the exact same order. At least each picture has a name but no other information. I used kindle from the Microsoft store to look at the pictures, the pictures are in color. Adults would enjoy as well as students.
