Spine Imaging, a title in the popular Case Review Series, helps you effectively prepare for certification, recertification, and practice in spine imaging with case studies that test your knowledge of all essential topics. This medical reference book will show you how to make confident, final diagnoses through accurate pattern recognition, clinical correlation, and differential diagnosis. "This book is likely to be most useful for (radiology) trainees in a neuroradiology department." Reviewed by: Gary Culpan, University of Bradford on behalf of RAD Magazine, Oct 14 Prepare effectively by reviewing 160 spine imaging cases, organized by level of difficulty, that mimic the new format of radiology certification and recertification exams. Every case includes at least 3 images and 4 multiple-choice review questions, along with rationales that explain why each answer is correct or incorrect.Ensure your knowledge is up to date with the aid of new and updated spinal imaging case studies covering modalities such as Spinal MRA imaging, SWI, CINE CSF flow, MR myelography and peripheral nerve imaging. New cases include discal cyst, polymyalgia rheumatica, Gaucher disease, pigmented villonodular synovitis, ventriculus terminalis cyst, and much more.

Pros:Can't think of one.Cons:-No explanation of image findings.-Poor explanation on answer page.Don't waste your money. This is one of the worst in the Case review series....which is already pretty dismal to begin with. It's too badRadcases don't have spine imaging.Edit:I wish I could give this book a 0 star. Discussion addresses nothing about why incorrect answers are incorrect, why listed possible differential dx is incorrect, why finding looks the way it does.....etc....reference to Requisite Neuroradiology book is of not much help since that's not a good book, especially for spine (not good for brain either).

This revised edition has clear images, new imaging modalities and free online access to all the cases. The questions formatted similar to the new radiology board exam.Like the prior editions it cases range from simple (opening round) to very difficult (challenge); unlike the prior editions (and other books in this series) The images are of excellent quality and the abnormalities are described in detailBook has very good review on AJNR blog: [...]Highly recommend

Great cases with excellent discussion. Images in the 3rd edition have really improved.

Cases are presented as unknowns and then multiple choice questions are asked. First Q is always, "What is in your differential diagnosis?" Often, images are diagnostic for one disease and some included answers were clearly not right. Other choices seem reasonable to include in the differential but are not "correct" responses. Explanation on opposite page does a very poor job of expounding on the case and case questions. Look elsewhere for spine review.

Much better organization and case quality. Great book for preparing for the neuroradiology CAQ.

Ok, wish the images were better on the electronic version.
