While yes, this book does give you 'forty studies that changed psychology', it doesnt really do more than that. it provides the most basic run through of each study over the course of a couple pages (this is a small sized book so pages are small) before movign on to the next one. I would have rather googled a list of the studies and looked into them each in more depth on their own rahter than paying for essentially a list in book form.

These are important studies but I still feel like some of the choices were strange. As new research comes out in support of or contradicting research in this book, they have changed the included research in their different editions. This is important to note if you're looking to save money on buying an older edition. Don't. The research will be a little different.

I used this in an introductory psychology course to provide additional material on different studies, famous psychologists, and concepts found in the intro textbook. It has a moderate level of reading difficulty, but most scientific terms could be defined using a quick google search.

Needed this book for class, and got it here for a very reasonable price. With student prime got it within 2 days. Came in the condition they said it would, and very happy with my purchase. Word of advice to those looking to purchase it though, this is the GLOBAL edition,so the page numbering will be different from the other version (s).

I'm baffled as to why I have not read this book earlier. It contains a wealth of information on the myriad subjects the field of psychology. From perception to neuroscience, it goes over the major achievements and ground-breaking research done in psychology's history. More importantly, it is written such that the language is accessible by someone not trained in research.

for anyone interested in the history of the greatest psychological experiments of the past. It is comprehensive and thorough. I use it for teaching psychology to undergraduates and it works just fine. Even student likes it!

I use this book for a Research Methods class I teach at the college level. The students LOVE to learn more about the studies they read briefly about in PSY101. GREAT book!!!

Very nice introductory summary of seminal works in psychology. Provides a nice overview for AP psychology students. Glad we purchased it.
