This is an impressive collection of high quality ultrasound images with succinct explanations of their interpretation. The images are presented in context of clinical relevance and acquisition technique. Chapters are well divided by exam type and are clearly written with focus on communicating high yield facts.
A must read book for the practicing sologists and budding students in this field. A rare insight into magic of sound waves. The book is a masterly pictorial presentation with befitting write up.
I love the book content, but this digital re-print leaves something to be desired. The paper weight is thinner and the quality of the print is weak. Many of the images have streaks running through them, similar to the streaks from a home office ink-jet printer that is low on ink. Since the paper is thinner, the ink has a bled-through look to it; especially for the pictures that have black backgrounds (all of the ultrasound images). The book costs a bit more than it used to. I would expect at least just as good printing. I'm returning my copy in search of an original print on nice paper.
I am a student and got this book to help me learn more in my spare time and so far it's been great. This book had pictures for many things and being a visual learner that is great for me. I love the question and answer format it is styled in. It has many questions I have wanted to ask and also many I would never have thought to ask but I and so glad I have the answers to.
This book was recommended to me by a radiologist for quick answers to many of the questions that arise during an exam. The Q & A format is very useful and concise in its explanation. It has also been helpful as quick review material.
For those of you who wants to study and want to add a book to review or if you're just simply looking for something to read to enhance your knowledge in sonography, this book is what you are looking for. This is an enjoyable book to read. You would not regret buying this book. It's priceless.
This is a must buy book for any one who is a practicing sonologist. This has information that can be used at all times. The question answer formatt is simple to understand. Images are of excellent quality. This book is very reasonably priced.
If you are looking for a reference book to keep in your department, look further. This book is limited in information. Although the information that is presented is done so very well. I have returned this book and purchased others for my department with much more clinical information in them.
