I've recently decided to leave my job and have some interviews coming up soon. I haven't changed jobs in 6 years so need to refresh my interview skills. I purchased this book as it seemed different to the other books about job interviews that I could find. The book itself offers very practical advice for how to answer common interview questions. This includes best-practice answers to give to interview questions. Even if you are asked questions that are not in the book in an interview, the analysis that the author offers around each question will help you think about how to approach other types of questions. The questions that are analysed in the book range from the very common to some that are quite abstract!Overall, I would thoroughly recommend this book as a very useful tool in preparing for job interviews.

In "How To answer Interview Questions", Peggy McKee gives us a wealth of useful and practical suggestions. I get the distinct feeling that the author is writing from personal experience and the many insights are her own. She also includes unusual questions sometimes asked at interviews that could catch you off guard. Peggy takes the time needed to explain each answer and often provides alternative answers depending on your situation. The questions are real and the answers are well thought out and insightful. While the number of questions at first may seem daunting, the material is easy to understand and assimilate thanks to the concise detailed explanations and numerous examples. I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone preparing for a job interview no matter what branch or job title.

What can I say but wow, Peggy McKee has not only put a lot of thought and professionalism in this book but it is literally a step by step instruction on how to go through today's modern day interview process. It used to be that anyone who had a particular skill set or talent could walk into any job interview with confidence in knowing that they could get that position and get a answer that day and land the position, this is no longer the case in today's market place or arena. If you aren't prepared to satisfy the hiring manager's questions when going through that interview there is always that possibility that the person in front of you or behind you will have the answers that the manager is looking for, this book eliminates that fear, if you go into that interview with the answers that this book teaches you, you not only go in with a confidence that you didn't have before but the fear and the pressure isn't present like it would be if you haven't read the how to answer interview questions going in on the blind side, Peggy McKee is the ultimate professional and knows what she is talking about it seems to me that while writing this book she took the prospective of sitting in the interview chair as we all so often do in the hopes of impressing the hiring manager enough to land that position and in my mind nailed that perspective for us all to benefit from her expertise and experience.I will be recommending this book to all my friends and family members who will be finding themselves in that interview chair well prepared with confidence and no fear thanks to Peggy McKee and this book.RFW

Oh how I wish I had read this years ago. I was hoping it would be good but I never imagined it could be this good. I don't usually write reviews but the information in this book is so awesome and so helpful. Peggy McKee can help anyone get a better job. I never really prepared for an interview before, never heard of a brag book, a 30-60-90 day plan, didn't know how to handle the "How much money question" or most of the questions in the book! After reading "How To Answer Interview Questions" I now know why I didn't get a job I really wanted and it's painfully obvious that if I had read it before that interview that job would have been mine.Buy it, read it, what you learn from it will help you in so many ways. Don't wait until you're ready to go on a job interview. There's information in it that you need now. Hint: you need to know what a brag book is now so you can start getting yours together.

If you've ever been on a job interview, you know that the interviewer almost always asks questions that you have no answer for, and all you can do is to try to come up with something at the moment. This ebook has answers to 101 of those challenging questions with recommendations on what to say. Most of all, the author explains WHY the interviewer is asking a particular question, which also helps form an answer. If you're going on a job interview, read this ebook first.

I bought this book when I found I would be returning to the job market after 20 years employment with a company. Wow! Where was it when I was searching for a job before?I started to skim the book for information and found myself going back to the beginning to read it all when I realized all the tips and advice it offered. I saw many, many mistakes I had made in previous interviews. The answers seemed adequate at the time, but this book explained my mistakes and what would have been better answers.I've finished it now and am more confident that I will be successful in my job search.Thank you, Ms. McKee!
