I like this new edition with the features of videoclips that can be seen online. A very good reference book
Buy this book. If you are PT student, teacher, or practitioner, get this text. It has everything in it from CVA to intervention, and everything in b/t. Wonderful reference and text to teach from.
Like most science textbooks this is difficult to read because every other paragraph is "According to research studies..." and it talks about the parameters of the study, blah blah blah. This book could be cut in half if you just had "Research says this...see XXX for more details". The style of writing of this textbook is unbearable and makes this book a total bore. This is by far the worst PTA textbook I've read in the program so far.
I purchased this book b/c I was teaching a class on a particular subject in physical therapy and the students had this book referenced throughout most of their curriculum. Very comprehensive and it sure has grown and gotten thicker since I was in undergrad.
Great educational tool for my physical therapy classes and I anticipate that I will be using it as a reference when I am out in the clinic.
This textbook is very diverse and I have ben able to us it in multiple courses. Very extensive in detail.
Love this book so far, has a lot of additional info and heard it is really great for board questions if you are in a physical therapy program :)
This is a big ol' book. But it's really great overall book with a TON of helpful information throughout PT school and beyond.
