Drawing faces for me has always been hard but with these lessons it in mafe easier then ever. I can now get the eyes right and in the right place and I encourage you to try your best at all you do. So grab your pencils and paper and enjoy your day.

come on i love your art mark. I don't want to buy a book that has the same stuff from your other books. I wanted some how to part like you did in hthis book but with new faces and I wanted you to go crazy with head prospective. would of gotten it even if it reuses the faces from the other book only if it had crazy head prospective.

This is the ebook version of Mark Crilley's Mastering Manga. This ebook includes only the introductory section, and first chapter of that book. For the most part, this is a how-to-draw manga book. All tutorials are at least seven steps long, ensuring that you won't get lost. The initial tutorials in chapter 1 may seem simple if you already have some experience drawing manga, with classics such as female front view and ¾, male front view and profile, and adult front view and ¾, a less conventional full-figure front view, and ¾, and a child front view and profile. Also in chapter 1, you get 20 Female Hairstyles, 20 Male Hairstyles, 101 Manga Eyes, and 12 Common Manga Facial Expressions. As an ebook, this one is not that bad. It uses a clear, easy to read font type, paragraphs wraps around well, includes an hyperlinked table of content for easy navigation, and handles well the picture content of the book in relation to the text. The only negative is the price as compared to the full ebook version.

I am taking one star away for reusing old material which I am not a big fan of. Moving on this has really taken my art to the next level. I love it, I was missing how to put the face together for years and this has finally put in into perspective for me. I wouldn't recommend getting this book though because the material that he copies from his other book is all in (Mastering Manga 30 Drawing lessons from the creator of Akiko) Here is some sample pics please don't mind the coloring I haven't found a book to teach me how to color in Photoshop. Also these are just heads because I have not yet learned proportions for the body which I also have his book and will do a review once I am done :D! Thank You Make Crilley for all the help!

This book has truly helped my drawing and I refer to it on a regular basis. Great for guidelines and reference. This is not the first time Mark Crilley has helped me. I am a subscriber to his YouTube channel and watch his videos regularly.

I love this book as well as the author. Mark Crilley is able to show you how to draw in a very easy way as well as giving you simple guidelines to follow for Manga. Highly recommend this book.

I was looking around on the kindle store, looking for a good reference book on manga faces. While I've read other books on the subject at hand, none of them really covered it as well as this one did. It tells you exactly what you're expecting it to, but goes much further than that. Not only did I get a good lesson on placement and proportioning, but I got a guide on how to make plus sized characters, characters who were older than the standard teen, wrinkly old women, even the facial profile of a little tyke! The author provides numerous examples of eyes and excellent references to both male and female hairstyles, and he does so in a friendly tone. Good read, good book for beginners!

This book was absolutely wonderful! It has simple wording that will bring amazing results, I've always had problems with proportions, and this book fixed that problem!!!! The eye designs are well shown, so are the hair styles and the figure at an angle is absolutely flawless!!!! This has to be a masterpiece, and Arigato (Thank You) Mark Crilley!!!!! :)
