Your Canon T5 comes with an instruction booklet and more documentation on CDs. That's enough to get you started, but if you really want to take full advantage of your T5, you must buy this book. Trust me, it's money well spent! I discovered my T5 had far more sophisticated features than I realized. This book not only takes you through the mechanics of using these features, it also explains how to get the best exposures for myriad situations. The format is easy-to-read; the writing clear and concise.I was "just OK" with my Canon T5 until I read this book. Now, I'm thrilled with it because it does so much more than what I thought after reading Canon's documentation that came with the camera. Even you're happy just shooting on Auto or using the presets on the camera, this book is offers helpful tips on how to get the best shot possible. If you want to take control of your T5 and take full advantage of everything it has to offer, you NEED this book!PLEASE NOTE: I also bought the Kindle version so I would have the information handy for reference on my phone and tablet. I found the Kindle version to be not as user friendly as I'd hoped and for the expensive price, I would not recommend it.
I ordered the kindle version of this book and it has been extremely difficult to navigate back and forth between sections. For this type of book, it is probably better to order the paper-back version.
Before buying my T5, I practiced with my boyfriend's T3. He couldn't explain all the settings and buttons, and some of what he explained, I didn't understand. This book really helped this strictly point-and-shoot photographer understand how to work with a DSLR. I love this book and i love my new camera!
Excellent book. Only read the first couple of chapters, but that was all I needed to get started since my camera arrive 1 hour before I needed to use it. Was very pleased with the book, and the index in the back. Loved the step by step directions, the symbols on the side of the book for reference, and how easy it was to navigate through the book
I bought the camera for my husband for a birthday gift. It arrived a day before this book did and honestly he didn't seem to know what to do with the camera until this book came! He said it explained things so thoroughly that he's really enjoying learning about his new camera and finding it is much more user friendly than he originally thought.
Great book. I am learning all the info on my new Rebel T5. So much easier than just reading a booklet on the Rebel . I am so very pleased .Great purchase and I consider this book the Bible for the Rebel T5.
