I purchased this text to study for the CCS exam to supplement my text I had from PT school (Frownfelter & Dean). A couple reviews have indicated this text is long-winded, which it is - but I appreciate that as I feel I learn more when everything is so thoroughly explained. Overal, I feel this is a fantastic text to grasp the core concepts of cardiopulmonary PT and has been integral in my studies towards my CCS. Highly recommend.
I spent too much money on this Kindle textbook for class and have not been able to use it at all because the page numbers do not correlate to the actual book that my professor refers to on her powerpoints and assignments. Also, the page numbers aren't displayed when the page is shown so I have search through the entire chapter looking through the material. If you want this for your own sake it is fine, but if you need this for school do not buy/download it.
Great Info, can get long winded at times. Also its very hard to find things in the index. Overall I like Brannon's text for my CV rehab.
It's simple and straight-forward. It's easy to read and serves as a good reference. There are some texts that I never open but I've referred to this one a few times already.

Thia book ia just awesome for PT to understand basic concepts of cardiopulmonary PT. I never read this book during my school time but i bought this to study for NPTE and it has been a great help!
I have been looking for a book that will prepare me for treating patients in the ICU. This book is well organized and the chapter reviews make it easy to look up information.
VERY useful textbook. great resource for clarifying material and looking more in depth at particular topics that fall under this umbrella.
