Great book! It is well organized and in color, which is helpful for determining the oxygenation of blood. My whole unit uses this book and the pocket-sized version makes it handy to carry around the unit as a resource. Very useful charts in the back of the book of common medications with ped dosages, adverse effects, etc. Any Peds RN going into Cardio ICU should have this book!
Excellent review for quick reference. The pictures really help to illustrate what words try to do, helping the conditions stay in your mind. I recommend this book for any student, nurse, resident, provider, legitimately any one in the medical field
This guide has been a really great aid in learning the different defects and treatments! It has the perfect amount of information. It gives enough details to feel confident about the disorders, but not enough to be overwhelming!

Bought this for my rotation through a busy congenital heart surgery PICU. Great quick reference guide to what approaches the surgeons were taking to take corrective action. Not a comprehensive resource but I would recommend this to get an overview before delving into more meaty texts.
This is a great tool for a refresher of information, review of surgical techniques, medication usage, and radiography. I am also using it as a teaching instrument when orienting new staff to our cardiac inpatient floors.
