This updated edition of "Medical Physiology" by Walter F. Boron, et al. is an outstanding reference.- It has too much material for a medical school course; however, the extra material may be useful as a reference for future courses and later practice.- It would be excellent for a graduate school course; however, a graduate course should probably be supplemented by outside reading.- It would have been nearly perfect for the undergraduate course that was taught at my university; however, the authors did not design this textbook for the undergraduate. Some colleges use Human Physiology or Human Anatomy & Physiology (10th Edition) (Marieb, Human Anatomy & Physiology).As an alternative to the Boron textbook, a lot of folks like Guyton and Hall Textbook of Medical Physiology, 13e (Guyton Physiology). That book also has a much appreciated condensed version: Pocket Companion to Guyton and Hall Textbook of Medical Physiology, 13e (Guyton Physiology).
