After two months on board a Russian container ship sailing 15,000 miles across the world, Josie finally arrives in New Zealand with her bike. Well worth buying. Try to read 'Wind in my Wheels' first though as you get a better background to the author. Josie's books are fun, jolly and easy to read.

I found this book to be rather depressing. Josie is quite negative throughout this book. She toured during some atrocious weather and this seems to have affected her view of the entire tour. Even when she is treated well by locals, she manages to find a sarcastic comment to make.She also has an ongoing fear of some of the roads she rode. I wondered why she didn't choose routes avoiding these roads or take public transport on these sections. Instead, her dislike of the traffic on these roads distracts from the story at times.This book does not give a true indication of touring in New Zealand. If this is the reason you are buying the book, I suggest you don't.
