The content is great, but this is not even indexed by chapter, just by unit. So I have to scroll within each unit to get to the chapter I want. I had to go through and bookmark each chapter for my own sanity. I'm upset because at the price, I expected better. Don't make it available for kindle purchase if it isn't set up for kindle use.
While you're not going to find anything in here that you wouldn't find in a thorough med-surge book (well, in relation to the aging process and health) it's a quick, concise text in an easy to read (honestly, almost over-simplified) format.
Book received in poor condition but had no choice but to use it due to classes starting. Returned book at end of class and was told I had to pay full price for book! Was retuned back to me. I didn't do the damage in the first place and it was returned like it was received! Very frustrating!
The book itself is great. My only complaint about the ebook is that is divided in sections/chapters and you cannot view by page. My school assigns pages not chapters or section so it takes me forever to find the section to read. If I had to buy this book again I'd buy it in paper form for that reason.
Easy to access specific information required. Topics are relevant and well presented with some helpful tips. The references to referred material is current and provides additional resources.
Very easy to follow, the passages are short and to the point. It provides crystal clear explanations to brief pathophysiological aspects. Definitley recommend for geriatrics studies.
I am very pleased with this book. It is very helpful in my nursing class. The professor incorporates it with our daily lesson plans. It is easy reading and not difficult.
This book is horribly written. Sentence structure makes it impossible to read without having to read the same sentence 4 plus times. I consider myself a highly educated individual. this book is written for a graduate level student and not for the intended audience being lpn students. I am not the only person having difficulties with this book, my whole class is as well. There honestly is not one person who does not feel the same that I do. I can assure you after this semester myself and my fellow classmates will be having a bon fire with our copies of this book. We have already discussed it. Let me give you some background on me because you think I just may be an ignorant person who cannot understand English. I have two bachelors degrees one in business administration, one in business marketing. I am a presidential award winner for educational excellence, and carried a 4.0 from middle school, through two bachelors degrees, and now I am halfway through my nursing associates. I have also worked as a geriatric/orthopedic rehabilitation certified nursing assistant for five years, therefore I have a basic understanding in regard to nursing of ' the older people ' as eliopoulous calls them. If you have a choice, do not purchase this book. It will have you wanting to slam your head into a concrete wall.
