good for shortcuts for all providers - good start with the basic pathophysiology, ddx, and tests/labs for a medical student. Definitely use it with Uptodate and medscape when getting pimped on morning rounds to look like you have an idea what you are talking about.gave 4 stars because it is good for all healthcare professionals that works in the clinical setting, but for a medical student you will want to use Uptodate and other resources as well
Got one to compare to my 1969 medical school versionMany of the drawings are the same and much of the descriptions are the same.Would recommend getting an older addition along with the 2015 edition.Some of the older drawings are better.Any clinician should have a copy.
I'm starting advanced health assessment in the fall for my family nurse practitioner, I picked up this book as optional to assist in this class, from what I have already read through, I feel this book will continue to help me even after I graduate
i actually have the 9th edition ["hardware"] of this book and for searching decided to buy the kindle last edition.Therefore i could find printing/copy errors in the kindle edition which should not allow.If one looks at figure 8-33 in the kindle one can see below that the 3 stars should be a v and not stars which makes reading a guess.I suppose i will find more of these errors and consider returning the book for this reason unless reacts on this mail [which may also withhold others from buying the kindle edition]A pity that often pays not enough attention to the kindle editions of books and i am not the only one who wrote about thisΟ, absent; ⁂, diminished; ∧, increased; ←, direction of deviation.LeBlond, Richard; Brown, Donald; DeGowin, Richard (2014-06-22). Excellent book. Thorough, informative, and easy to read.
Good book and updated ,but I personally still prefer the older editions of it
