The "Massachusetts General Hospital Review of Critical Care Medicine" is an excellent educational resource for busy ICU residents and fellows. It is very well-written and well-organized, and its concise and focused structure makes it especially useful for rapidly procuring information about patients during their clinical care. The "Massachusetts General Hospital Review of Critical Care Medicine" also contains pertinent Suggested Readings at the end of each chapter, and a section of relevant Questions-and-Answers at the end of the textbook, both of which are exceedingly useful teaching modalities. It is an outstanding manual of Critical Care Medicine, and I give it my highest recommendation.

I really have enjoyed this review book so far. It is nice that it is brief, more outline with highlights than a complete textbook. It also has references to articles at the end of each chapter, which is helpful in keeping up to date. I have only started to work my way through the whole book but I feel that I will probably take many notes in it and use it as an outline book like I did with my previous First Aid books for my various Step exams. I also enjoyed that it was recently published and it seems that most of the information in it is pretty current.

I am an NP, needed a comprehensive review of Critical Care material for my job and there aren't any good guides on this topic for NPs out there. This one has been readable and breaks things down into smaller topics. I've been trying to read a topic each week and associate it with stuff I see at work.I would recommend it for other NP/PA who are working in critical care/acute care and deal with this population. I would also recommend this seller, as the book was in excellent condition and arrived in a timely fashion.

A good summary, with great questions, and up to date information. It loses a star because of poor proof-reading/copy-editing, including some errors in the question explanations.

Concise review, but way too many typos, answer errors and generally poor review questions.

Great summary of major critical care subjects. Concise but knowledgeable.

bought it as a gift for a colleague in India, , and he loved the format

Comprehensive and well organized. Until I purchased this book, I did not feel as though there were adequate review books for my critical care boards. The question and answers plus explanations at the end of the text was an added bonus.
