I found it difficult to quickly reference items using the kindle version due to the way the table of contents is grouped into large topic groups. In order to find something on a specific item, one has to find the chapter in the table of contents and read through until you find what you are looking for. I was used to the print version of this where I could flip through and find things easily.
Nice reference book. However, not well suited for Kindle/ IPAD use. Would prefer the paperback for quick reference.
Pretty fantastic book...easy read and loaded with information. I bought it strictly off the reviews, 4.6 rating and #1 best seller list of internal medicine and I am very happy with my purchase. Good review...too big to carry around but excellent read at home... provides a thorough background review of material and into many concepts that assist with knowledge in a condensed form. Not a quick reference book but more of a medical student, resident or any clinician that needs to review or brush up on some basics and clear up concepts that have been forgotten or not learned well in the first place. Great book and definitely worth it to add to the collection.
Great quality, great information (as always). This is one of the few medical books that I have multiple previous versions of. This is definitely not the kind of book that you want to be always carrying around with you due to its size, but I've found the printed book to be superior to any of the online/ e-book versions they have. Maybe a future iPad app with better navigation than typical e-book/ kindle style might change my mind.Still, all things considered, one fantastic resource for quick look ups.
This is the one general medical text I order every year in order to keep current (no pun intended). It is an excellent resource that I can get as soon as it is published through .
Very detailed and awesome book. Lots of great information. Helps me in my healing work to know what I am doing and what to ask for while doing healing sessions. Only book I found that is so detailed and has so much important information. Will stick with this book since it is the only one I have found that I love in all the years of doing healing work. Great find. Worth the price too.
I've been using Current Medical Diagnosis & Treatment in practice for over 24 years and it is my go-to reference. Diagnoses are highlighted with an "Essentials of Diagnosis" which is a brief synopsis of the condition. Its easy to read bullet points for signs, symptoms, labs/diagnostic tests, differential diagnosis as well as treatment options enable me to quickly scan a subject and get the information I need. A wonderful book for internal medicine and primary care.
This book is a good guide. I am a Nurse Practitioner student. I am often in need of direction regarding how to correctly treat a patient. I am still learning best practice. This book gives clear direction for treatment. It is worded in a clear and concise manner. I would recommend this as a good purchase.
