Overall this book seems very comprehensive. It looks like it will be a great book to learn from. My problem is that I am doing this as a self-study course. (I already have several years billing experience, but need to learn so much more.) Not until I actually got the book and unwrapped it did I read that answers to Coding Exercised, Claims Completion Exercises, and Chapter Reviews are only available from your instructor. Also the workbook that goes with this edition has no answers either. It would have been better if the book description mentioned this information up front BEFORE I decided to purchase it. I have been in contact with publisher and a sales rep. to see what they could do to help. Publisher rep. was nice but couldn't help me. Still waiting for local sales rep. to answer my inquiry. I have debated as to whether to return these and get something different. Still unsure, but I do feel this is the most up-to-date book on the subject, so I may just try to muddle through and see what I can do. If you are in a real classroom with an instructor or taking the class through AAPC, then I think this will be a great book/workbook. If you are doing this on your own, you are, so it seems, kinda out of luck.
The condition of the book is great. it came in perfect condition. That is not the issue. The issue is reading and studying out of this book is terrible. I hope you don't have to use this book. its annoying.
This book is supposed to be based on AAPC Billing exam but I find that it really isn't relevant to the exam. Pointless but required :/
The book was advertised as "new" but it arrived with several pages of text highlighted. I was a little surprised, but it wasn't really an issue. The most important thing was that the access code for the online learning software was still intact, and I was able to go online and register my product, and access the online courses. All in all, good purchase.
