This book was required for our med school PBL courses, and I can certainly understand why. The text is nicely written, and the "Clinical Commentary" sections are great for understanding how we as physicians come into the picture. A subject like genetics can become very formidable if not presented correctly, but (thankfully) this book got it right.

This genetics book is by far one of the easiest reads I've had for this class. The material is broken down into topics that correlate to diseases for further understanding. Anyone looking for a good genetics book will truly love this one!

Great book for the Genetics class, easy to read and understand the topics presented, it was great to have for reference throughout class.

Excellent, readable case-based coverage of genetics and genetic disease helps integrate both knowledge of genetics as well as clinical aspects. Required reading by my medical school. There do appear to be a few errors, but I couldn't find a comparable text.

Book doesnt have as much information as I expected to. It's still a good introductory higher level genetics book. It's a fairly fast read I think.

This reads like a pamphlet you would receive in a doctor's office. I am not sure why my medical professors assigned this book for us to read but they also heavily supplement it with secondary material. In reading this book you'll see things like "what are genes? Genes carry genetic material that encodes each one of us!" Unless it is written for an beginner audience, which I assume it is not, it is a very elementary book that does not cover any of the "medical" aspects to genetics.

Let me begin by saying that I do not review products ever. I just wanted to say how fast and precise the shipping was along with quality and ease of use of this item. Thank you for a great product.

Came with working code for Student Consult.Student Consult is an electronic version of the book, so if you can find a code to buy, instead of buying both, you'll be fine.
