I recently graduated from my respiratory program and I thought this would be a great tool to have with me on clinical rotations. I know it says pocket book but honestly it is too big to actually carry in a pocket. It is lime a little binder with metal rings and tabs for each section. I think the material is good and a good resource just wish it was thinner.
While it is extremely helpful to have all your required RT related values in a handy dandy, tiny book... Oakes has some weird values. They are not always compatible to NBRC standards, which I think should be the KEY!The values are "close enough" but you know how these tests are...There are a few discrepancies, though. I can't remember the page number exactly, but Oakes has two different suction pressure ranges listed as acceptable.
I'm in a resp. therapy program. I looked at this book and others like it for a long time. I tend to stay too cheap most of the time so...I never made the purchase. Now that I have it, I wished I had bought the book sooner. I will be graduating in Dec. This is an excellent book to have on hand. There is so much information packed into this small book. There are also other books in this collection. Glad I finally purchased it.
anybody going to school to become an RT should get this. it's small enough to carry around and to study whenever you have any downtime. everything is neatly organized into tabbed chapters and it has a comprehensive index at the back.
I'm a respiratory student and it was suggested to me that I purchase this book. All I have to say is I love it. Has a lot of information packed into a small spiral book. Makes finding information quick and easy.
I am a student in RT school going into clinicals and this is absolutely perfect! It has everything that I could possibly need for clinicals. Everything is laid out very nicely and if so very well organized. I would recommend this for RTs and RT students alike :)
