A more updated version of the old one; a lot of material is repeated, but it has been updated to reflect new guidelines. Small enough to be tucked away in a pocket and you can write on it in ball-point pen. Quick and easy to read reference material.
I'm a student-nurse working on my BSN, and this pocket guide was priceless during my pediatric clinical rotation, with tons of valuable information on illness presentations and treatments, and some useful details on ABGs. This notebook will again be a constant companion later this summer when I go through critical care. It's worth the money, and a little time ahead of clinical to get acquainted with the content, that way you know just what to look for when you're in a rush.
this may tell us who are non medical what some of the base lines are. Great to see how things are assessed and what others who know more may be looking at . Small size so can be in your first aid Kit for reference .
As a student, I find this little book to be extremely helpful in the clinical setting. It is a great quick reference for medications, normal values, and respiratory equations. I also find that because the book could be tucked in a pocket or purse, I was more apt to carry it with me, and review whenever I had some downtime. So if you need the extra study time, I would highly recommend this book.
Still amazed everytime I go thorough it too so how much valuable information in right there in the palm of your hand. While in school it will be used daily
It's like a compact respirtory encyclopedia, great for clinical rotation. Much more information and more durable than the red cover pocket guide
I'm currently an RT student and just received this. It is definitely a must have and will come in handy during clinical rotations.
I carry this with me everyday. It has everything you need in it. Student or well versed RRT, this should be on your hip or in your pocket.
