At first it deals with the dynamics of the parents’ relationships with each other. But then it also delves deeper into some of the character’s lives. It shows that no matter how seemingly perfect a person’s life is, no one can ever tell what demons he or she is fighting within. Celeste is the kind of woman that every other woman would love to hate. She is beautiful to a fault. She is also married to one of the richest men in the area and they live in one of the best homes. For an outsider, there’s nothing more that Celeste could ask for. But then what she has never told anybody is that she is also a battered wife. The little lies that she keeps telling herself has allowed her to stay on in the marriage even when the violence seems to be escalating. Madeline is the epitome of a suburban mom with the glittering personality and the same glittering kids. She is always poised even though she’s fighting her own battles. She is specifically battling for the attention of her eldest child by her first marriage, Abigail. The youngster is infatuated with her father and his new wife. This leads her to make a series of decisions that inadvertently hurts her mother to the core. Jane, on the other hand, represents the quintessential single mother who needs to juggle everything all alone. An unfortunate event at the beginning of the story leads some of the troubles that Jane has to suffer through. She becomes the victim of the other mothers’ bullying mostly because she’s new to the area and she doesn’t fight back. It can also be safely assumed that Jane is judged according to the fact that she is unmarried and doesn’t drive a fancy car or hold a fancy job. The lives of these three women intertwine from the moment they first meet each other. They become good friends; they help and protect each other without question.Read more....Download your copy today! for a limited time discount of only $2.99! This doesn't even deserve a one. Read this listing very carefully. This isn't the book! This is a (very badly written) SUMMARY of Liane Moriarty's fab "Big Little Lies". I would think this is a joke, but J. Morgan is making money on it. And that's not funny!

Nothing like "The Husband's Secret". If that's what you're looking for here save your money, really. I hate to give a negative review but I'm disappointed at the money I spent &was looking forward to a great read, bummer😛

This is not the full book! Ugh, I didn't realize it was a debrief. Disappointed.

Pretty close to 'real-life' conversations for that age group with kids in kindergarten. They're all trying to fit in.

Again, ordered wrong book--this is a summary rather than the novel. My error.

Brilliant read, un-put-down-able, cleverly written, masterfully simple characterisations, hilariously funny in places, exquisite one-liners, unexpected twists and an absolutely spot-on portrayal of contemporary social conditions, commentaries and issues. Brilliant, thoroughly recommend it.

The book got me hooked right away. I liked the shift from character to character. How the different characters were intertwined with each other. The little hints about the party dialogue was quite interesting and I kept wondering how some of it fit. Then it all falls into place when you get to the end. We read this book for Book Club. I loved it. We read another book by this author for Book Club. Great writing.

Not the book. Outline
