This review is addressing the quality of the binding rather than the content of the book.For the cost of this book, there should not be excessive and sloppy glue on the endpapers. The improper treatment of the endpapers affects the stability of the binding, most noticeably in the front and back sections. Also, since Academic Press is an imprint of Elsevier, the expected quality is not there although the high price tag and lack of discount is.I am sending it back, and hopefully I will receive a better replacement.Update:Two months later, I have received a replacement copy with better binding and have adjusted my rating accordingly. This title fills in a much needed gap on the subject in a scholarly fashion. This is written for medical professionals and would be a difficult and dry read for a layman, but is thorough and comprehensive.
